Team Sara(h) Returns with More Updates!

If you’ve been following us for a while, you know we have a soft spot for names that start with “S.” Alongside Scott, Shelly, Sasha, Susan, and Sheryl, we also have—not one, not two—but three Sara(h)s. New to this naming coincidence? You can catch up in our previous posts: Meet the Sarah(s) and A Team Sara(h) Update.

Whether you’re already familiar with Sara Closson, Sarah Tirado, and me (Sara Pinto—the OG), or just meeting us now, we’ve got some important updates to share. A lot has happened since our last post, and Team Sara(h) has been helping employers, enhancing our services, and expanding our reach through IMA Financial Group.

Sara Closson, Employee Advocate: I continue to support employees as they navigate the often-confusing world of insurance and medical billing. Over the past year, I’ve worked one-on-one with over 780 individuals, which means I’ve reviewed a lot of Explanation of Benefits!  To stay up to date on key advocacy issues, I joined the National Association of Healthcare Advocacy and participate in monthly committee meetings. I’ve also been closely tracking the rollout of Maine’s Paid Family and Medical Leave program.  Employee benefits are always changing, and I’m grateful to be in a position where there’s always something new to learn.

Sarah Tirado, Business Development Relationship Manager: “In my role, I’ve really enjoyed connecting with Maine employers and sharing how Acadia Benefits—now backed by the strength of IMA Financial Group—can offer even more resources and support. From new partnership opportunities to PFML updates, I’ve been busy attending conferences, networking events, and exploring the incredible tools now available through IMA. I’ve also continued my involvement with Emerging Leaders United, a giving circle connected to United Way of Southern Maine, where I serve as a member on the steering and investment committee. Let’s just say my calendar has never been more organized—or full!”

Sara Pinto, Marketing Manager: And a bit about me… I lead the marketing and creative strategy at Acadia Benefits, an IMA Company. Over the past few months, I’ve worked closely with the IMA marketing team on new initiatives and developed fresh ways to share how we help employers with their employee benefits strategy. I serve on the Shared Wisdom Committee at United Benefit Advisors (UBA), supporting Partner Firm education through conferences, academies, and speaker engagement. This fall, I’m excited to begin volunteering with the Yarmouth Education Foundation, supporting innovative educational programs in my community.

What’s New with IMA?
One of the biggest developments for all three Sara(h)s—and the entire Acadia Benefits team—has been joining IMA Financial Group. This partnership has expanded our capabilities while keeping the personalized, local service our customers know and trust. Through IMA, we now have access to new benefit products, compliance tools, HR and employee education resources, and national expertise—helping us support employers more effectively than ever.

So, What’s Next?
We’ll continue doing what we do best: helping employers build competitive, cost-effective employee benefits programs with the dedicated support our customers have come to expect. Whether you have a question about PFML compliance, a tricky claims issue, or just can’t remember which Sara(h) to email—we’re here and we’ve got you covered!
